Steve's Burgers

I JUST went to the drive thru at this Steve s burgers. After the waitress gave me a LENGTHY description of putting my food in the bag and making sure my order was right, she swiped my debit card. But INSTEAD of handing me back my debit card with a receipt she handed me a charge card receipt with a pen and the tip box circled.\r THIS IS RIDICULOUS. TIPPING A DRIVE THRU ATTENDENT????? My son said give her a couple bucks so she will give us the bags. So I put in 2.00 on a 21.00 bill WHICH SHE SAID SHE GAVE ME A DISCOUNT, but now that I am home I was overcharged $2.55 plus the 2.00 tip in nearly 5 bucks on a 21.00 order.\r STARBUCKS STARTED THIS DRIVE THRU TIPPING CRUDE AND I STOPPED GOING THERE.\r Our family goes to Steve s several times a month between us all for lunches and dinners. \r I WILL NEVER EVEN LOOK IN THEIR DIRECTION AGAIN. So enjoy the 5 bucks you just stole from me cause you lost about $2,000.00 of business a year for it.\r WHY WOULD A PLACE LIKE THIS EVEN HAVE A TIPPING OPTION ON IT S RECEIPTS??? At best even if you eat in they only half asp wipe down the tables and we are to tip for THAT???\r \r On top of everything else I get home the order is BEYOND WRONG, and she gave me no receipt.\r \r NEVER EVER EVER EVER AGAIN. more

Steve's is about 4 mins from my house. On the way home I decided to stop by and grab a bite to eat. I unfortunately had the displeasure of ordering a carne asada burrito. When I arrived home it was iced cold and the cheese was unmelted so I tossed it into my microwave. It smelled ok, so I took a bite. That's when I nearly almost upchucked whatever remained of my stomach contents all over myself. The nasty unwashed Mexicans prepared a disgusting meal that tastes somewhat like what I would imagine the dog meat in cheap Tijuana's tacos to taste like. The meat is clearly expired and overcooked to try and mask the fact that the dirty cheap Mexicans couldn't afford to go to a grocery store and buy unexpired meat. Lovely. These reviews that say ""STEVES IS THE BEST"" are clearly misinformed...have you people always lived in Hemet? Seriously. This is like a meal I'd expect a homeless person to cook up in a sewer. I wish I could rate it lower. Nasty filthy bastards. Cons: too expensive, nasty carne asada that tastes like dog food more

I grew up in Hemet and I have to say this is the best and must go to joint in town! more

I have since moved from the Hemet area but really really miss Steve's. Even my sister who does not live in Hemet but would visit when I lived there told me she misses when I'd take het to Steves. The fried zucchini and onion rings are to die for. I've never had them so good anywhere else. And you get so much food for so little money. And I love their burgers, especially the bacon burgers loaded with bacon. YUM! The value is excellent and everything on the menu from biscuits and gravey to a chef salad to a pastrami sandwich is killer! The menu has something for everyone, even if you are dieting.
