Stevens

I took 7 co-workers to Stevens for a celebratory business lunch yesterday. After waiting for someone to seat us, a fairly rude gentlemen seated us in a room that had the lights turned off. I had to ask to have them turned on, which he did not immediately do and should have. Once we all sat down and ordered drinks, things seemed to be moving along. One of my employees ordered an orange juice. When it came to the room on a tray I looked at it and thought the color looked strange but attributed it to the fact that the room, now with lights on, was still dark. He placed the OJ in front of her and she and I both questioned it. It literally was the color of a latte. We asked if it was OJ and were told yes. He said it came out of a machine, the kind where you use a nozzle/hose to pour. He said to try it and if we didn't like it, he would take it back. I am sorry, but if this is the cleanliness of the machine that is pouring some beverages, I was not impressed. She did try it and it was disgusting. Plus I was charged for it on my bill. \r \r I have been 3 times now and the food is always good. I took a party of 6 here the time before this one, food good, service just okay. This time, the service was horrific, filled with attitude and bad intentions. I won't be taking any more business associates here or anyone else. Inconsistentcy doesn't earny my hard earned dollar. more

Our office uses Stevens for lunch meetings all the time. They are incredible. Able to handle fast-paced lunch time constraints with excellent service. Food is always delicious and can be packaged to take back to the office if needed. Able to handle physician in-restaurant eating mixed with our office staff take-out eating. Pleasant local restaurant without the long drive to Lincolnshire. Defintely recommend to everyone, especially if needing a quality restaurant on limited time!! Try the crab and brie soup but save room for the desserts. Pros: Great lunch service more

This is my new favorite restaurant!! The service was attentive, expedient, and very friendly, the food was hot hot hot , generous portions and delicious, and the wine we chose was excellent . Came here on business, went back immediately with friends - I always order the fantastic mini filet trio, my friends raved about the seafood and soups, the side dishes truly could stand alone as a meal- incredible flavors!! It is in the higher price bracket but absolutely worth it. A really memorable dining experience. Pros: Service, food, ambiance more
