Why so negative 12/18/2008

For undergrads, I find it to be a great school. Most of the faculty is very considerate and easy to get in touch with, the reputation is pretty good, and the school seems to live up to it. I've found that the classes are considerably difficult, rightly so, altered for a technical/engineering school. So long as you stick to the Engineering fields, you really can't go wrong. The Buisness & Tech fields are new, but seem good as well. more

Not the best 8/11/2005

Stevens is in a great location, its easy to get to some of the proffesors are good but overall I think there are some much better buys in education and much better schools. They are a bit behind the times and the profs are very old. The campus is nice, its an engineering school, not a business school (although they are trying to become one) more

turning out to be bad engineering school 8/5/2005

Since the management's focus has been to make it a MBA school, the engineering faculty and the courses have depleted a lot and at the same time the quality of education has dropped considerably for the Masters and doctorate students. The approach taken by most of the masters in Computer Science students due to the bureaucracy has been to graduate by taking minimum amount of courses. these students haven't learnt a miniscule amount compared to the undergraduate students from leading universities. So if you are thinking of a technical degree, this is definitely not the place to be in. more
