Steve-O'S Italian Kitchen

I live fairly close to steve o's and go their about once a week with friends just to grab some food. The fact that i keep going back will speak to how much i like their food. The service is inconsistant. sadly. I have been there a few times and waited more than 15 minutes till our server came to get our drink orders. Had another occasion where my friend was given the wrong drink, and her boyfriend ended up going and getting her a drink after about 15 mintes because the servers forgot about her. They even forgot to enter her order.\r \r The reason i keep going back despite the service isses that i see rought 1/3 times is because its local, the owner is nice and the food is good. I know that most of the times the service is bad is because they are training new employees. Its still work at least 2 shots, just incase you get them on a off day. We stopped in after seeing the resturant on CitySearch and were very glad we did. We had pizza, pasta and salad and all of it was very good. Our waitress was fun and helpful and the dessert was great! I'll go again. more

The quality of the ingredients, the brick-oven baked flavor and the small-town atmosphere combine for the best pizza experience you will find within 25 miles of Louisville. In addition, the salads are decent, the sandwiches superb and the lasagna is great to eat-in or take home, freeze and eat at a later date. Sure, the wait may be long on game nights or weekends, but with pizza this good, it is worth the wait. Easy carryout option available as well, for those road trips back home to Frankfort. Steve knows how to make a pizza, and if you go here, there's a good chance Steve will either be making your pizza or serving it. Steve mastered the art of making a true New York style pizza from the best. If you happen to live within a 20-mile radius of this restaurant, you truly are missing out on some fabulous food if you don't come here. Steve O's Italian Kitchen was a very pleasant surprise. It's certainly a small hometown joint but is still great for large parties and the food is fabulous. It is off the beaten path in Buckner, KY but still within a 25 minute drive from anywhere and worth the drive. Great service, great food, friendly family atmosphere. It's not a fancy restaurant but rather a casual eating experience. I will definitely be back for more!! I found my favorite convenient carry out and dine in italian restaurant. Pros: Great food. Haven eaten at the Backwoods BBQ location on Hwy 146 SEVERAL times, it's a real treat for the money. While the buidling is old and not in great shape, they more than make up for it with the great food! It's WELL worth the trip! They recently discontinued the 'all you can eat' fish on the weekends which is a total bummer but, the BBQ is EXCELLENT! Get the RIBS! Pros: Ribs! Cons: No More AYCE fish more
