There is a difference between Stetson and public universities- the biggest being sheer size. Stetson faculty and staff are still approachable and class sizes are considerably (try 50%) smaller than public Universities.
In my experiences, Stetson attracts some great local faculty members who WANT to interact with students and WANT to teach. The admissions staff was VERY helpful and Graduate Program administrator, Pat LeClaire, has got to be the most wonderful person in the world. If you have the opportunity to attend Stetson I highly recommend them.
They offer 50% tuition discounts to clergy or employees of not-for-profit organizations. Don't le the initial sticker value stop you from applying or at least looking around- it was more affordable for me to attend Stetson than a local public University. They will work with you!
