Sterling does many (most?) of the school photos -- those assembly line photoshoots that disgrace the term 'portrait'. They can handle lighting, focus and color matching, and produce lots of package options, from wallet to wall-sized, but composition, imagination or artistry? Uhn-uh. Richard Avedon or Annie Leibowitz they are not! They seem to rarely answer their phone, don't return calls and have an unprofessional answering machine. Overall impression: They're so busy, and have so many big contracts & monopolies (i.e. on school photos, yearbooks, etc), that they don't need to appeal to the individual customer.
Pros: competent
Cons: boring, assembly-line, coookie-cutter approach
