I have moved four times in the last six years and usually moving is very stressful for me. In the past when I’ve moved I’ve always paid more than I was quoted and ended up with broken things. I was pleasantly surprised when I hired these guys to move me on my last move from Astoria to Jersey City. They came wrapped my furniture, packed my hanging clothes and TV, and were done by mid afternoon. Nothing broken! Even better they charged me exactly what I was quoted and I even had a few more boxes than I had estimated initially. I know who I will be calling when its time for me to move again! more

This company was recommended by my management company and their prices seemed good, so we gave them a shot. I was away at a work conference on the day of my move, so my husband had to deal with the movers on his own. I was so worried about not being there, but was so, so happy to hear from my husband that the move went completely smoothly. He found the movers to be hard working and professional. I have some expensive furntiture and was so happy that nothing got damaged. All in all, we couldn't have asked for a better moving company. more

I called Sterling Movers after searching reviews online and deciding that they were the most well reviewed. I was still apprehensive, I had never hired movers before and had heard horror stories, but decided to trust Sterling. I'm so glad I did. I called them just five days before our move in date and Stefan was great to work with, he scheduled our move and was responsive with my questions. The guys showed up to our one bedroom apt in Astoria at 8am and we were moved in (to be fair, it was just a few blocks away) by 11am. I could not believe how quick they were, while still taking care of our things (none of our furniture was scratched and only one plate out of countless fragile items broke, but I'm pretty sure that's our fault for not packing that box well enough). They were extremely polite, really nice guys, and I was so impressed by how efficiently they surveyed our stuff and moved it all out and in. I will never go back to moving myself (usually a two day process) ever again. Well worth the cost. more

If you are looking for movers these guys are great. I have used a couple of different movers over the years but have to say they all pale in comparison to Sterling. They moved me in record time, moving day have always been a full day affair but these guys had me moved in by 2pm! This was absolutely the best moving experience I have had. Everyone was conscientious hard working and nice. I will recommend Sterling to everyone. more

I have used several movers over the years both moving within NYC and also cross country. The guys at Sterling are in a league of their own I could not be more pleased with my choice. Sterling moving are by far the best moving company in the city. I have moved more times than care to remember and have had a couple of less than desirable experiences. I hired these guys for a move last January after the snow storm and I think I made the best choice. The movers arrived on time despite the 19 inches of snow from the previous day and didn’t complain that my super hadn’t done a good job clearing the snow; they even had shovels with them and cleared some so they could get to work immediately. The crew was the most experienced I have ever seen and worked tirelessly throughout the entire move, moving my 1 bedroom apartment in about 6 hours. Moving is a complete headache from start to finish. However these guys were the least of my problems. Moving can be quite stressful especially trying to juggle a busy work load with moving and not being able to take a day off from work. These guys made my day a little it easier they were careful, quick and respectful. I don't know how they moved so much stuff so quickly and without any mishaps, what I do know is that the move was done ahead of schedule and I was able to get to work for a few hours. I needed a quick move I was faced with having to have all my stuff out of my old place before I was scheduled close that after noon. I would like to sincerely thank Sterling Moving, the team and you. I dread moving. Simply, I have never had a good experience with movers. This was true until I moved with Sterling. From the beginning things\r were different. You were on time, professional, friendly and accurate. My items were packed securely and then treated with respect despite being smothered in heavy blankets and boxing. The team had to make two stops to pick up my belongings and still beat me back to Manhattan from the first stop. The move was completed on time and all items were securely reassembled and placed.\r \r The team was exceptionally professional and fit. I have found most movers to complain all day about the estimate provided by headquarters as if it were my fault. This never occurred.\r \r At one point I apologetically asked for the piano to be moved a few inches for better centering. The response was, ""good enough is not acceptable, only perfection is."" I comfortably relaxed with my family in the new apartment that evening rather than having to relieve my\r frustration.\r \r I regret that I tried to save $200 one year earlier by selecting another company over Sterling; the damage far exceeded this amount.\r \r Thank you. I definitely recommend Sterling Moving. These guys are total pros. They showed up on time and the price quoted was the price I paid. They worked fast and were very professional. From the first phone call where I got an estimate and an appointment to meet with a salesperson, until the last box was placed in my Brooklyn brownstone apartment, everyone at Sterling was exceptional.
