Please beware...My mom is 76 years old and was coerced by family members to switch from medicare part a and b with medco for her prescriptions and a supplement to Sterling Option 1. BIG MISTAKE.. She was told she would still have medicare(not a lie she has part C) but now she pays more for every visit to the Dr and her meds. She is charged for all out patient services such radiology--15%.. Because she was also told she wouldn't need a supplement anymore she canceled it and now has NO SUPPLEMENT. So who gets to pay the void----Her children. Yes she only pays $9 a month and that looks great but with all the co-pays and her 10%-20%(cause she has no supplement) in ONE WEEK, for out patient medical services she had completed, she will be paying double or triple what she paid as a monthly premium for the supplement.\r
My brother is mentally retarded and was on medicare and medicade. Sterling took him on as a client. WHY would an honest company or person for that matter sell something to another who pays nothing and now has to pay a premium and all co pays. \r
This is dishonest!!!! \r
I would highly recommend not allowing your aging parents to make this decision on their own. There are too many hidden ""TRUTHS"". (lies)\r
When trying to reach Sterling by phone no one was available at the local office. When I called the regional office, no one could help me and I was told to call the local office once again. So I called the local office again and was given a different date that the agent would be returning to the office.\r
My mom will be paying for this in the long run. If she cannot afford her medications she will refuse to take them. And I will be one more child without a mom!!!!!
