I stopped by stereo warehouse in Aurora co on Friday July 22nd 2011 to get a price quote on a pair of twelve inch subwoofers, box and amplifier. Was quoted 450 installed for a set suggested by the sales person. We agreed I would drop in on Sunday 7/24/11 to purchase and install the system. I just recently purchase my car and it came with an after market radio already installed in the dash. This car for that year also came factory with volume and mis functions on the steering wheel, which worked with the after market stereo. So I arrive Sunday as planned. After waiting in their waiting area for 2hrs they take my car back to the back part of the building that has a garage for installs. First red flag I asked if I could watch them install through the window and was told no. Hum? Why not? So then about an hr later they are finished and returned my car. I hop in, drive off. About a half mile down the road I realize that the steering wheel controls don't work anymore. I turn around to inform the man of the problem and get it fixed, since when I showed up and before I handed them the keys to my car, the steering wheel controls worked. Now when I walked in to the store and started to explain to the owner the problem he showed no concern and instantly replied with that's not his fault. I explained that I understand people are human and mistakes happen asking him if he would just take the car back and pull the radio out to see if something came unplugged or wired wrong or something and he absolutely refused. I expressed my concern that something that was working is not now, and your installers are the only ones who have their hands on it and now it does not work. And that it was his job as responcible business to help me leave the way I came. He insisted that it wasn't them denying any responsiblity. I then asked him to explain to me why it was working before and now its not. He then calls me a liar, claiming I'm crazy and making it all up. That it is IMPOSSIBLE for the steering wheel controls to work on an after market radio, screaming at me telling me to leave. I then right after went to two more local car stereo stores to speak to some ""experts"" on the topic. I was informed by Quality Auto Sound that IS absolutely possible for the wheel controls to function with an aftermarket stereo. It works with the installation of a part that goes on the back of the stereo. It worked before my purchase at stereo warehouse, which means I had the part on the back of the stereo installed by the previous owner of my car. I still need it fixed, so Quality Auto Sound charges me 40 to pull the stereo out of the dash and make sure a wire didn't fall out, or maybe it needed re programmed. This is what stereo warehouse should have done, is what I asked them to do. Now because the owner was so rude and not fair even after I spent a few hundred with them, I had to spend more somewhere else to figure out what went wrong. After checking the stereo it is discovered that the part that makes the wheel controls work is MISSING!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was removed from the back of the radio!!! Stereo Warehoue stole it from me. This part runs about $150 installed. It's not fair that I have to spend that because a BUSINESS stole from me and told me to f off when I complained. Before moving forward like filing a theft report with local police, I stopped back by stereo warehouse with my findings to again attempt a resolution. Again I'm told I'm liar and leave. Here I am with non working wheel controls and a bill for 150 to get them functioning again. I'm discusted at the ""integrity"", if any at all, of Stereo Warehouse and its owners lack of concern for quality work done correctly. And lack of concern that he has thiefs handling paying customers property. Id like to also ad that I was also ripped off of a bottle of personal lubrication I had in a small purse which was obviously gone through in the back seat of my car during the intsallation. ITS WRONG. SO WRONG!!!!
