WARNING: DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR PRECIOUS MONEY AT STEREO CITY PLUS. THEY ARE THIEVES AND HAVE NO IDEA WHAT IT TAKES TO RESOLVE A PROBLEM WITH THIER CUSTOMERS! I recently bought a stereo, and ipod hook-up for my '05 Malibu. WHen i first purchased it, seemed like a decent enough job so i paid them, (BIG mistake) and left. As soon as I drove home and attempted to enjoy my purchase, the radio shut off. All the power to the radio was shut off and would not turn back on. The mistake I made, besides paying these thieves, was not immedietly returning. I called this joke-of-a-business, and they told me to return the next day. I took time off of work to take it back hoping the problem would be resolved. As you probably guessed it was NOT. And the problem continued. Trusting it was not the shops crappy instalation, I had my cars wires tested and the results were negative. The shop that tested the electricity said there were no bad wires or wiring as far as they could tell. I then took the car back a second time on my day off. The "so-called" manager (what a diss to managers) explained that it was probably the ground wire and would have some-one take care of the problem. Soon after the car was returned and I drove home, the problem persists. I was already sick of thier half-assed approach to the problem as it seemed as though they had no real idea of what the problem was being caused. I was then told a new deck would be ordered and the "so-called" manager took down my number and promised to call when it was delivered "in three weeks". I reluctantly agreed and marked the date (4 weeks later) on the calender. As the date arrived I received NO call. Finally on the fifth week, i decided to pay the shop a visit. As I talked to the "so-called" manager, he replied "oh, your stereo just came in. I was going to call you". (yeah right) They installed the "brand-new" radio, I tested it to try to replay the problem and it seemed fine. A day later, listening to the radio, the same problem, no power. This was the last straw as I was concerned. I took the radio back and kindly asked them to remove the equpiment from my car so I could have a refund. As soon as the "so-called" manager heard these words from me, he acted as though I was speaking a foreign language. He immediatly began to explain how I had waited too long for this request because it had already been past the alotted 30 days. I was a little upset, but instead of punching him (like I wanted) i simply contacted the Better Business Burea. I also am seeking a judgement in small claims court for the amount ($260) I paid these clowns.
