Stepping Stones Montessori

My children have been enrolled at Stepping Stones for 3 years. The school changed to new ownership about 2 months ago. In the two months of new ownership, I have watched the environment transform in such a positive way. So many wonderful improvements have changed the appearance of the school and I am really happy with the fence that has been put up for privacy from the street. The outside equipment that was a broken before has all been replaced, which has made a huge impact on the parents in regards to safety issues. The new staff is friendly and inviting which makes such a difference and the teachers are always willing to go that extra step to make sure my kids are getting the best education and love. Overall, when my family and I walk into the building, I know that my children are in a healthy and nurturing environment. This gives me peace of mind each day when I am at work.I would recommend this school to any parent. more

Children are in danger. most of the teachers don't watch the children. eg. they talk about their personal lives while children are being neglected. since new management, quality has severely declined and is continuing to decline. more

I have had a very different experience than the previous review. love everything about Stepping Stones Montessori! I moved my 2-year-old son from a home care provider to this school and within 2 weeks he was able to say at least 75 new words or phrases. He can identify objects with their functions, his motor skills are becoming more and more refined and I love his teacher (miss tawny). All the teachers genuinely love the children and i feel very relieved to know he is in a learning environment that he loves. Stepping Stones is a top notch school and i would recommend it to anyone interested in giving their child the best education! more

Although I was delighted with the school when the old director (Miss Karen) was there. Since she left things have gone downhill. Now there is really nobody with any teaching experience in a leadership role. The owner is a nice lady who THINKS she knows everything -----all she knows about is business and the "bottom line" and she is only there once in a whils. The lady in the office (also not always there is just a secretary who takes messages.LOOK FARTHER, THIS SCHOOL HAS LOST ALL CREDIBILITY.\r What a disappointment! more
