Steppenwolf Kennels

This low review isn't just against this kennel, but of most kennels in general. I took my 2 schnauzer mixes here, approximately 7 years ago for a weeks stay. The office is right in with the dogs, so when I brought the dogs, I couldn't hear anything. I was just expected to drop my dogs off, no questions asked. I brought a blanket for them to lay on since the floors are made of concrete. When I picked them up, I was told the dogs had peed on it the first night and she had taken it out. So, they had to sleep on a cold concrete floor all week, and she handed me a garbage back with a stinky blanket in it. I got a very bad vibe from the whole place and vowed I'd never leave my dogs at a kennel again. Kennels are fine for dogs that are used to being outside, but I would suggest trying something else for house pets. more

I was very impressed with the cleanliness of this facility. It is kept extremely clean. The staff is friendly, and knows the dogs by name. The owner really likes animals. It is about twice as much as some of the other kennels in the area, so we can't allways afford to take our dog here, but I wish we could. more
