What made this experience so awful was Dr. Tina Stephens trying to run up hundreds of dollars of tests on a puppy that she was told had Intra-Trac 3 vaccine 8 days earlier (this vaccine is for Adenovirous 2, Parainfluenza & Bordatella). The puppy was eating normally, and in fact, had a voracious appetite. Yet this vet wanted to do a$ 178.00 blood panel and $180.00 worth of x-rays and various and sundry other things adding up to $600!!! IMO, a good vet LISTENS to the information a client conveys in terms of symptoms, events and circumstances and proceeds to rule out things in order of probability. Treatment was declined because it seemed as inappropriate as Dr. Stephen's theatrics seemingly intended to frighten. The puppy in question was later taken to a veterinary practice on Laguna Canyon Rd, where the veterinarian determined she had ""Kennel Cough"" (Bordatella) from her recent intranasal vaccine. No hysterics, no fear tactics, just plain old excellent diagnostic skills ...
