It's true. People will pay for good service and a relaxing atmosphere. But in the end, the food is what you pay to eat. At Stephanie's, the outdoor dining, much like any restaurant on Newbury Street, is enjoyable. But the food is just so-so. The menu is generic and although some may call it ""comfort food,"" it is not at comfort prices. My boyfriend and I ate dinner there on a July 4 weekend. We ordered a hot spinach-and-artichoke dip for an appetizer, which was tasty and served with toasted pita. The main courses, however, barely measured up to diner food. The ceaser salad was soggy and soaked with mediocre dressing and the hamburger was, well, your average burger. My recommendation is to pass on Stephanie's and keep walking. Newbury Street is brimming with restaurants.
