April at Stella Luca saved my damaged hair 1/24/2012

April is the best hairdresser I've found and I've tryed many places in town and am extremely picky about my hair moreso than anything else. She fixed my damaged hair. I have fine, thin blonde hair that was damaged from product and highlights. She used a natural amonia-free highlight that makes my hair healthy, strong and shiny, along with a glaze to protect it from the hairdryer and all the volumizing products I use. She's completely honoest and doesn't try to upsell me on anything including more color than I need; she recommends the mini highlight so this shows me she really cares about what's best for me. She recommended Redkin Anti snap which also makes my hair shiney and healthy. She recommended taking biotin- you can get it at any drug store for $5 to $10 for 30-day supply (take one each day) which made my hair thicker to where I could actually wear it at a longer length for the first time ever and it still looks good vs. stringy and flat against my head! I highly recommend April! more

Above and beyond!!! 1/15/2012

Michael Rains is the greatest! Not only are his hair talents spot on, but his customer service is impeccable. For the first time "in forever", I have enjoyed spending time in a salon and it is all because of the patience and energy Michael extended to me, my hair and my experience!!! I love that he was ready to work with me so that I was completely happy with my hair! I love my color (it's perfect!) and my feathers are way cool. I cannot wait to go back for a cut and straightening...and I shall look forward to it! Michael and the Stella Salon is A+++ in my book and I trust you will feel the same! more

I always feel amazing after leaving this salon. Michael Rains does a phenomenal job. I have never had so many complements on my hair ever since I have been seeing him. He does a great job with color and hair treatments. I suggest everyone try and get in with him :) hes ahhh-mazing more

Weary of assembly line salon experiences? One trip to Stella Luca and you will wonder why on earth you ever went anywhere else!! From the moment you walk in the door, everyone from the receptionists to the designers extend themselves and make sure you feel FANTASTIC. Robert washed my hair - such a terrific person and what gentle, skillful, respectful hands!! Michael Rains was my designer and he is extraordinary - part painter, part sculptor, part magician and PURE POETRY IN MOTION!! He took my haywire Wild-Girl-of-Borneo curls and customized a treatment that left them unbelievably soft, supple and springy, he shaped them perfectly and then colored them exquisitely!! And what a lovely person to spend the time with! In fact, EVERYONE who works there is fun-loving and so positive - the vibe is FABULOUS. This is a Dream Team salon with a genuine soul!! So glad that I found them!!! more

I always have tons of fun! 12/13/2011

I have very high standards when it comes to choosing a salon for repeat business. Stella Luca has a fun atmosphere, the stylists work together and value one anothers' opinions. I see Michael for my hair services, and always leave even happier than I expect. Another reviewer stated that Michael is an artist, and hair is his canvas. I couldn't agree more. I take pictures to him, and he works VERY hard to match exactly what I want. He takes his art extrenely seriously, and it definitely shows. He is the most conscientious stylist I have ever seen. Plus, he is super fun to hang out with for a few hours, which doesn't hurt! Each time I go in, I get an extreme makeover, because it is just so fun and Michael is so good at everything! It's not just MIchael, either, I love seeing what all the other clients are having done, and they always seem to leave happy. The stylists take pride in their work, and are constantly parading their latest hair style around for oohhhhs and aahhhhs. more

Feel like a million dollars 12/10/2011

Wow! I feel and look like a million dollars after a very talented stylist worked his magic on me, from drab-to-Fab!. The color is the best I've ever had and the cut is fantastic. During my consultation, Michael Rains suggested I try a little color to brighten my look, well he was right, never had so many compliments...EVER! The cut is amazing and he showed me how to create the style at home. If you're looking for a real artist...Michael is the best in town. more

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE 11/29/2011

Rachel Castaneda puts on a great act, I almost believed she wanted to me to be happy with my hair. SHe was given 3 times! First cut was great, second cut she rushed through and I had to fix my bangs myself because I work out of town. 3rd cut she butchered my bangs! I gave her THREE pictures to look at and she cut a chunk right out of the middle, about an inch and a half shorter than the rest of my bangs! Not only did she say that she would just show me how to hide HER MISTAKE! But she also refuses to give me my money back! THe salon itselfs has no say over any of the stylist so they can screw you and there is NO ONE to hole them accountable! DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON!! more

My Magic Makeover Experience 8/27/2011

I recently had my hair done by Michael Rains and it turned out incredible. My color came first and it turned my hair silky, shiny, and smooth. He cut my hair, still keeping my long layers as i wanted, and adding a little new spice which were bangs. I was hesitant to getting them because I have never had bangs cut on me before but Michael worked his Magic and made me look new and vibrant. The salon was wonderful and it is a place i would refer to anyone. Thank you Michael Rains for giving me such a new great look!(: Im so excited to have you as my personal stylist this season!! Michael Scott Rains as King 8/27/2011

Window browzing found my favorite Bumble&Bumble products then I ask for cut/color...the stars were in-line and cute as can be Michael found me...After some conversation I realized I was sitting in the chair of an artist and my head was his canvas...rarely do you find someone in his profession that truly understands color, style, lighting, and the health of hair. My girls (teens) love Michael because he "gets it"..and he has FEATHERS!!! I really feel comfortable at Stella Luca and the restaurants/shopping/entertainment just adds to the whole package!! Win/Win more

She was very professional explaining to me how the color I wanted would work with my complexion during the consultation and helping me pick a hairstyle that would work with my face/daily styling routine. I'm super picky about hair color and she got it spot on. Very very impressed with the color and the conditioning treatment I opted for. more

Its not easy being a guy and going to a hair salon to get your hair done; however, my girlfriend recommended me to SAMANTHA because she uses her. It came out FANTASTIC. my hair was actually styled not just cut with an electric razor and trimmed on top. Michael has been my hair stylist for over 5 years now and he is AWESOME!!!! - from cut to color to styles that make you look best - he knows. I always like to have something a bit edgy done and he hits it every time. He is fantastic with color and knows the latest trends on style. Not only does he make you look great but Michael is one of the most sincere, sweet, FUN, energetic and upbeat people I have ever met! It's impossible not to love Michael! michael has been my stylist for the past 4 years and let me tell you...if you want to have fun while you are getting your hair cut/colored/styled/whatevs - this is your guy. not only is he an amazing stylist (GREAT haircuts...barely have to give him direction at this point - he just KNOWS) (PERFECT color...i'm in the 'red' world and he always seems to come up with something better - different, each time) he is BIG FUN. stella luca is lucky to have him. you know i love you, michael. kisses until next time! CJ rocks! 9/13/2010

Just a short note for CJ, she rocks. I have been to see her over the past three years many times, and for many radical hair changes, and she is always professional and up to date with her styles and ideas. My last trip in was a blast, seeing that she took over 12 inches of hair for me and brought me back into a very modern, easy to care for, playfull style. The cut was quick, her conversation was lively and I find each trip to Stella Luca to see CJ is a joy. Thanks CJ!!!! more

CJ fixed my hair! 8/31/2010

I've searched high and low for a great cut and color. It seems like no one could make me happy. Yes I'm picky. However I've finally found someone who cares to take their time with my hair. It usually gets damaged but CJ was so precise with her techniques and she always does a great conditioning treatment on my hair and now I have shine back in my hair. Thank you so much. My favorite salon!!! 7/7/2010

Great salon in Winter park village. After getting your hair done you can merely walk out the salon and have a million options to choose from either shopping or dining all within seconds away. I recommend Juliann Glaskin who is the BEST hairstylist. I was referred to him by a good friend and I followed him to Stella Luca and am NEVER disappointed. If you like Beautiful/Soft/Glam hair he is the man to see. He's very knowledgeable on all the products and will give you his honest opinion on what and not to buy for your hair. Professional and rather entertaining I always enjoy when I walk into Stella and see Juliann. Pros: Great service/professional and helpful staff Cons: nothing more

CJ has been my Stylist for over 10 years now - The thing I like about CJ is she is very in tune with all of the latest trends, hair styles and techniques. She takes her job very seriously and really IS a perfectionist - she will not let you leave if you are not happy. I remember when I was a new client - she actually called me to make sure I was happy with my cut & color. I can tell she is well respected in the Salon because she often mentors the Stylists in Training and the other Stylists look to her for advice.
