I have VSP vision insurance and this eye doctor is a VSP memember and selected to be a VSP doctor. Given these facts this doctor did not use the insurance at all? Our credit card was infact charged for the services. The submitted expenses from Eyeworks are $400.64 but my credit card was charged $472. The reimbursement from VSP is $214.50 that still leaves me with an overpayment of $71.36? Why all this is unknown. His office did not check into anything. Call the medical insurance ask them if vision is included, nothing? We have vision insurance and we have to go through all this for service? VSP claimed they do not issue insurance cards but VSP does and it says family plan, the client number, doctor network VSP signature, also says exam $10 and Materials $25. I am not happy with Eyeworks at all. My daughter got the same treatment.
