I like Stein's 7/31/2006

I have been finding a lot of nice things at Stein's. We just bought some plants there this weekend. We found the staff very helpful and friendly. They also have a clearance area in the back where you can find some good deals. I saw Don M.'s review of not being able to open boxes and check the items inside but I tend to open boxes anyway... I hate surprises and have been disappointed other places too many times, so I look at everything! more

The new Stein gardens and gifts 4/7/2006

Well today I went by the Appleton Stein Gardens and Gifts and was very surprised. Almost every isle I was in someone came by to ask if I needed any help finding anything. I found them most pleasent and very helpful. I went through the whole store. I found it to be very clean and easy to find items and if I couldn't find something, all I had to do was ask and they took me right to the location where the item was and asked if there was anything else. I plan to revisit Stein's again. more

Old and Not Helpful 8/7/2005

Stein Gardens and Gifts is an older store which you can tell my the items inside. They do not carry many newer items or modern things for the home. The people there are not very helpful either. They do not allow you to open boxes and check the items inside. But when you get home if they are broken, don't work, or are not the right thing they won't take responsibility for it. The garden area does not have the greatest selection either, and the products they do sell do not survivie well nor have a good guarantee. more
