I recently hosted an event at Steel Atlanta and it was a great decision. The service was outstanding, the atmosphere was wonderful and the sushi was the best I've had anywhere - ...

I was looking for a trendy scene and good food for Friday night so I figured give it a try since reviews said 'dress to impress'...EHM, NO, this was not the case at all. not only ...

Fantastic experience 3/20/2008

My friends and I dined at this restaurant for the first time. It was exquisite. We were happy with the service and the atmosphere was pleasant. I decided to try the Salmon, it was really good and so were the appitizers. It was even more special that the 'Chef' made a special appetizer dish for us as it was not on the menu. We were told they will most likely include it as a regular item since it went over so well with us. I highly recommend this dining experience. Pros: Great atmosphere & ambience Cons: Parking more

Beautiful, pricey restaurant. Great food 3/11/2008

The food is great- try the sea bass- the place is gorgeous. It's a great addition to the restaurant scene, but don't expect a bargain. The wine list is awful, way over priced. And the entrees are very expensive. This is not the neighborhood place we need. But if you don't care about spending $28+ for entrees and $15 for a glass of wine, it is worth a visit. more

Water Curtain Wall Leading To The Delights Of Asia! 2/27/2008

We wished we lived at Plaza Midtown Condo's. All these great dining options right downstairs, and a Publix also. This is Pan-Asian at it's finest, and some are calling it Indochine. The place is a stunner, competing for the sexiest of the sexist. And Steel delivers. A water curtain spans the entrance into the dining area, with wasbi booths, and those oh so cool lighting fixtures. And yes the sushi is outstanding, as many spots in Midtown. But where Steel shines, is items like the Beef Tataki. Seared tenderloin, under thin slices of jalapeno, and a dot of Siracha Sauce. And the Crab Mango Spring Rolls w/Peanut Sauce, is a great place to begin. Desert, well the Moulton Cake, will make you melt, and the Banana Egg Rolls for a somewhat lighter touch. It' so nice and dark/sexy with the Teakwood walls. And all the beautiful Midtown people are here. Damn, we can't wait to go back. Pros: Mood Enhancing Pan-Asian Vibe & Creative Menu! Cons: We Don't Live Here! more

Love the sushi and wine list; Great seafood and BEAUTIFUL restaurant 2/25/2008

This is a perfect place to go, take friends, have fun, and eat some fantastic food. Being a bit of a sushi nut, I of course was excited to sample Steel's offerings. I'm happy to say I was far from disappointed. The aptly named devil roll is my favorite so far. That combination of spicy tuna and the yellow mustard, with wasabi, comes with a welcomed kick. I also enjoyed the spicy salmon roll as well. My girlfriend had the seared diver scallops, which I of course had to swipe a bite of, too. It was quite good. The staff there was knowledgeable and suggested several bottles of wine and was very attentive. I love the wood decor when you walk in, as well. The whole restaurant is gorgeous and very inviting. Overall it was a fantastic experience and I look forward to making it a common dining destination. Pros: Sushi, wine, beautiful room. more

Delicious sushi and seafood; Great service 2/8/2008

I have already been to Steel several times and I have never been dissapointed. My boyfriend is a big sushi fan so we've tried all the sushi joints in Atlanta. Steel is our new favorite restaurant. The sushi is delicious. His favorite is the volcano roll with mounds of scallops and crawfish on top and my favorite is the zebra roll, which has asparagus and a soy wrapper. The sea bass is another favorite. For lunch, the bento boxes are great. I usually get the soft shell crab, which is very tasty and you can also get the sea bass for lunch, at a lower price than dinner.\r The service has always been top notch, regardless of when you go there. Vanessa is my favorite waitress, she's so sweet and nice. The staff always reminds you that ""theyre here to serve YOU"". \r The restaurant itself is also very well decorated and always filled with attractive people. Pros: food, service, staff more

No Real Theme Here! 1/28/2008

Indochine or Pan-Asian? We don't understand how one Asian restaurant can cover so many Asian countries. Pros: So, So! more

Great sushi and tasty grape options in Midtown...finally. 12/20/2007

Steel is a welcome addition to the Midtown restaurant scene. Whether you dine at the cozy sushi bar in the front or the romantic wine bar in back, you'll savor the delicious sushi rolls and excellent wine options. This upscale newcomer offers numerous sushi and Pan-Asian options with knowledgeable, friendly service. Pros: Tasty sushi and good wine list Cons: Small bar more
