Steamboat Springs is the ultimate in Colorado ski resorts. It lacks the pretention of Vail, but still has some swanky offerings if you are looking for 4-star hotels and top-rated restaurants. The snowfall there is incredible - even in ""dry"" years, when other resorts are struggling. The people in the town are very friendly and service in most places I've been to is impecable. This is the place to go if you are visiting Colorado ski country.
Pros: Snow, snow, snow, Friendly people, Accomodations
Cons: Long drive (Denver)
