It was the day before Valentine's. After being together for more than sixty years, my husband and I sometimes get careless and, assuming we both know what is in our hearts, we do not send cards.
On this particular day, Bridget was our caregiver. She asked what we planned to do on the big romantic day. When we answered her, she was very quiet. That evening she came to our door and handed us little bags with our names printed on them. To our delight they contained very beautiful Valentine's cards for each other. If we had chosen them, they could not have been more appropriate and to the point. She also included a little memento gift. Since we really do not have the physical stamina to go card shopping, this just meant the world to use. It was a special Valentine's Day experience.
How grateful we are for Stay at Home Senior Care and for thoughtful gestures and caring folks like Bridget!
