Great place to relax 12/19/2005

I met with a client here before and it was so nice. I already enjoy the coffee house setting, but this was relaxing and not very noisy. Plus it is quite spacious, unlike alot of places. I enjoyed their hot cocoa. Rich, smooth and chocolaty--and not too hot. Just right to warm you up on a cold day. more

Widest selection around 8/16/2005

If you want a specialty coffee or tea you should definitely try Stauf's. They have a huge selection of fresh coffee beans and teas that rival anything else I've seen in the area. If you're looking for a quick cup of something already brewed this isn't a bad place either. They have a decent amount of outdoor seating on Grandview avenue when the weather is nice, and some additional seating inside as well. If you're looking for hardware to cook/grind/brew coffee and tea they have it here as well. And they have wireless internet for free! Overall a great place to go. more

Neighborhood coffee shop 6/30/2005

This is a great neighborhood hangout, with a diverse crowd including college students, young families, and seniors. The coffee itself is great and it offers lots of edible goodies, including Jeni’s ice cream (so delicious!) Most of all, it is a place to relax and watch the world go by. more

    This coffee shop is warm and inviting, with plenty of wooden tables that are often occupied by readers. If you didn't bring your homework, plenty of free publications overflow on a set of shelves. In the warmer months, most caffeine drinkers gravitate toward the sidewalk seating in front, which is a great spot for people-watching. Stauf's has been micro-roasting coffee on-site since 1988. There are barrels full of fresh beans and accessories available for purchase.
