Wow, am I glad I found this place! My boyfriend and I went there recently on a busy Saturday night and still had a phenomenal experience!
Went on a Saturday (where the special was 1/2 off bottles of wine! Had an enthusiastic server/manager(?) recommend and let us taste a wine to choose).
Although the place was packed and the night was hot, the very friendly hostesses made sure to help us out. The manager even was there, helping anyone he could (the sign of a restaurant built on passion rather than business). On top of that, the almost chaos like busyness of the place didn't keep us waiting; if our waitress couldn't get to us, other waitstaff brought us food, made sure we were comfortable, etc., all of whom were incredibly friendly! Even with the busy time and wait for food, the endless baskets of deliciously garlicy bread and garlic butter tided us over. Our waitress told everything to us straight, too (even though waitstaff elsewhere may try and sell you anything regardless of their feelings just to get your business, she let us know what each desert tasted like, which of the specials was better even when the better dish was the cheaper one, etc.).
The food was excellent, though small (although, probably all the better... am I sounding like a fat American?) for the price. Still, prices aren't incredibly steep. Appetizers are fantastic, by the way! Desert choice is expansive, though only a few are made in house. Either way, I left the restaurant leaving full!
The atmosphere is nice, as well! The large restaurant is split into smaller rooms so that noise is not overpowering and I could hear my boyfriend across the table. One room has a toy train running around the ceiling which is cute, and live music played in one room (also not serving as loud). It's too bad the restaurant is in the more industrial section of Plymouth and not as close to downtown!
Overall, great food and EXCEPTIONAL service has me wanting to go back for more! Highly recommend!
Pros: Food, service, ambiance, etc.
Cons: Odd location; small-ish portions
