Local produce 8/16/2005

State Street Fruit Store is relatively large for a local food market. State Street sells the normal food-stuff that the average food market sells, however, State Street also sells produce and baked items from local farmers and bakers. The prices of the normal food-stuff are more expensive than what you will find at the larger supermarkets. Go to State Street for the local goods. State Street is convenient for college students in Northampton because it is closer than the larger supermarkets. more

Market up 8/16/2005

One of a few local markets, State Street Fruit store carries much more than fruit with its adjacent deli and wine/liquor store. The deli has an enormous assortment of cheeses, an olive bar and fresh sandwiches. The market is more expensive than most, but comparable in staples like milk and produce. The acohol is under the same roof and consists of many varieties of wine and spirits. more
