Big Tex and the state fair! 2/23/2006

Wow what a venue! This state fair is unlike no other state fair in the world, why you ask??? Because its TEXAS! Put your best pair of walking shoes and come with an empty stomach! So much to see at this fair, from freak like shows, the midway, animals, shows, people, retailers and so much more. And not to mention the fair faire! From your average staple of hamburgers and hot dogs to awsome mouth watering smoked turkey legs, salt water taffy, and any fried candy bar you can imagine. Come early though parkingis a monster. more

I heart the State Fair 10/5/2005

Who doesn't love the State Fair of Texas? Fun for the whole family- the kids can go nuts on the midway, while the adults can be entertained by the shows (last year's Trained House Cats were quite impressive) and exhibits. And, of course, everyone loves the food... all deep fried and all good. I am mourning the fact that there will be no petting zoo this year :( but I'm sure that all the new fried wonders will more than make up for it. more

THE BEST FAIR EVER 9/6/2005

I love when the state fair opens. What a way to start the fall. This is fun for the entire family. They have some of the best exhibits, rides, games, and FOOD. I could eat they whole day when I am there. It is so fun to see the car show, play on the midway, and eat everything they have to offer.  This fair is never the same year after year so make sure you visit it every year. more
