Starz Entertainment was recommended by my niece after talking to numerous DJ's and being very dismayed at the lack of professionalism. They were by far the most professional company we dealt with, we originally talked to a young man named Matt. He met with us and was extremely nice and helpful, but stated Eric would be better as all of our guests were over 60 and Eric had been doing weddings for 30 years. Eric was absolutely wonderful. He came and met us at a Starbucks close to our home and set us at ease immediately. This was not our first go round and Eric was very good with listening and not forcing us to do all the normal stuff. He surprised us by getting some radio footage from a 1940's radio show that we mentioned. He was perfect for our wedding, and we are certain with the questions he asked and the way he listened he would deliver what anyone asked for. From beginning to end and with everyone we dealt with Starz Entertainment was wonderful. It has now been 2 month and we are still having friends mention it was the most fun they had in years! more

Everything was perfect!!! James was amazing! He went above and beyond what a DJ is considered responsible for. Starz Entertainment and James really listened to what we had to say about the overall experience we wanted to have at our wedding. Recommended to Starz by a friend, we were told they were the best. Everything was perfect. We were pleased that Eric did everything we requested him to do, and also that he really made the event completely about us. Also Eric went above and beyond by helping with set up and other little fires that occurred. Starz Entertainment is worth every penny!!!! Fun and professional. Starz Entertainment was brilliant! We met with John who connected us with Eric stating Eric would be our best match. What a pick! From beginning to end Eric was perfect. Not only have I gotten incredible reviews from the guests, but I am personally impressed with his level of enthusiasm and professionalism. I was told over and over how perfect our wedding was. We tried to think of what we like the best about Starz Entertainment. The answer was the whole thing... we planned the event from accross the US and John did everything perfect. Everyone commented on how much they loved the music and the whole event. The online planner was very helpful with a cross country wedding. Matt has been a DJ for our PTA for over a year now and has been so professional and gone above and beyond that now I have begun planning my daughters sweet 16 and son's graduation and I would not have anyone but Matt there!!! I had met with several DJ's when planning for my wedding and I was most impressed with Starz because they were very professional, and were very open and excited about some things I wanted to try at the reception. Overall, I think Eric was a lot of fun. He worked hard to do a good job and I?m not sure if I could have found a better DJ. There are, however, some things I wish he would have done differently. I have to admit I?m really picky when it comes to music but for the price I paid, I think my pickiness was justified. My main problem is that they gave me a list before hand to fill out my ""must-plays?. However, they ended up playing very few of those songs but played songs that were still in the same genre, instead. I wish that if they were going to play that same type of music, that they would have made my ?must plays? a priority over other guests? requests, since it was my wedding and I was the one paying for them. Also, at one point someone must have requested swing music because he started playing it and a few couples got up and started swing dancing. That was great until about the fourth swing song he played in a row, not realizing that my new husband and I can?t swing dance and that was the only time in the night that we weren?t on the dance floor. I finally had to go up and say something so that he?d play something we could dance to. Overall, I do have to say he did a good job compared to the many wedding DJ?s I?ve seen and he really did try to please everyone. I still have people telling me about how great he was. If you?re looking for a DJ that?s going to be a crowd pleaser, Starz is it. Just know that in order to be a crowd pleaser, you may have to sacrifice some of your own wishes. Our coordinator was new and was ruining our wedding. She screwed up the schedule and then told the photographer they had to stop so we could go inside and start dinner. Pros: They are the best hands down... Can't say anymore Cons: not a one! =) more

We used Starz Entertainment for our company's grand opening celebration. We are required to get 3 quotes and we almost did not use them because they were the most expensive. John Green was the person that gave us the quote and he said they actually charge exactly what every one else does. We were confused and said ""No, you are more expensive!"" He said ""All of the companies you talked to charge what they are worth... and that is what we charge as well"" My VP of Sales wanted to hire him on the spot. Pros: Great Service! Professional! We had a bad experience with another DJ service and were very concerned about a larger company. We met with Eric who set our minds at ease and helped with a lot of planning for us, but he said that he thought John would be better for our party. Pros: EVERYTHING! Starz Entertainment walked us through every step of planning out and selecting everything for our wedding and coordinated everything. They had people in the office checking in with us regularly to make sure everythng was on track. Our DJ, James, was wonderful and even had safety pins when my mom had a problem with her dress.
