great listening by movers, to me and to each other. very honest about not wanting to move my glass items. extremely professional attitude during the move, moved my items safely in less time than they quoted. more

Everyone was very careful, even the Grandfather Clock was moved carefully. There was not a scratch on anything. They did a great job and I would use them again! more

The movers were very polite and kept a positive attitude when they had to help us move in just terrible weather conditions. It was raining cats and dogs, but they kept smiling and moved our household in a safe and organized way. We would recommend Starving Students highly! more

Both movers were very friendly and quite helpful. They had a hard move since we had 2 sets of stairs to move furniture. They were respectful of the furniture and took care to wrap carefully needed items. By the end of the move, we felt like ""family"" I would recommend them to anyone who needs a move. more

Movers were very personable and willing to answer my questions. If I was concerned about a certain box they even tried to make sure it was on the truck and locate it if within reason. I was very happy with the service. more

The two movers that assisted me were hard workers, took care to make sure that all of my furniture was padded and shrink-wrapped. I appreciated the extra efforts made to ensure a smooth move. I wiould definately recommend to others. more

would be a four hour job for a 2 man crew. Oops.) Anyway, the guys immediately got down to business and began getting the huge number of book boxes out to the truck. I am a book collector and we had about 100 boxes just of books. One of the guys sang while he worked, occasionally stopping to tell me a joke and make me laugh. He was a really nice guy and had a fabulous attitude toward the job itself as well. All of the guys had that attitude where they gave their all to the job to try and get it done under the amount of time on the estimate rather than going slow and taking all day. One of the guys, my singer from Georgia, was honestly running with his empty hand truck from the elevator into our apartment, loading the truck with five boxes of books, then running with the full truck back to the elevator to unload. Over and over, he ran the circuit. You don't see that every day. Once they had the boxes loaded it took them less than two hours to load all the furniture in the house and get on the road. Upon arriving at the new place they got everything out of the truck and into the new place in about an hour total, even managing to put all the furniture where it belonged in each room so we wouldn't have to deal with moving bookcases around later on. As I said before, while they estimated that the move would take eight hours, they were done in around five hours, saving us a ton of money. more

I was totally amazed with the integrity of the two movers. One of our items was left in the truck, mixed among their moving supplies. I thought about calling the company to ask if they had located my item, but figured it would have been discarded. A few days later, the movers brought my item to my house on their own accord. The average person would have thrown it away - but these guys were nice enough to bring it back. I am totally impressed. When I move again, I will definitely call Starving Students - I hope these two guys still work for the company; I will definitely request their services!! Thank You!! more

I was quite satisfied with the speed (and hence lower cost) of the move. However, I only had a desk chair, a 5' folding table, 58 boxes of books and papers, a Nordic Track skiing machine, and a Total Gym 1000 exercise machine. more

I'm mildly disabled and was concerned how I was going to handle the move. While I'm 95% self sufficient, I do need the extra help on occasion (and believe me when I say I hate asking for it!). I tried to have everything done when the guys came. Honestly, I think I made it to easy! LOL From the very beginning (from the time I set up the move until I was in my new apartment), I felt Starving Students and the movers went far & beyond the call of duty to handle my every need and concern. The guys even took the time to help rearrange the bedroom furniture to best suit the room because there was no way I could have done it myself. I was very, very pleased (and grateful) for going with Starving Students! more

I've moved with movers a few times before. This was a much better experience. I was able to book my move online, which is great cuz I was at work. They gave me a good price and included some boxes for my clothes. The local office gave me a heads up about parking permits so I wouldn't have to worry about the parking situation for the truck on the day of the move. The movers called me on the day of the move to see if I was ready and then they showed up at my house about 30 minutes later, right on time. I know from past experiences that its best to protect your interests, so I signed up for the value coverage. Fortunately, nothing was damaged, so I didn't have to worry about it. The guys were cool. I was impressed that they were moving so fast, especially since they told me that they had come from a move already that morning. They let me leave my clothes in the drawers for my dresser too, which made me really happy cuz there was already enough to pack! Really glad that I'm in my new place and didn't have to lift a finger! Yay! more

So i heard about this moving company threw a friend who had used them, and I tried it and Im glad I tried them. Pros: On time, nice people, got the job done more

They broke or damaged a lot of my items. My $4800 carbon fiber road bike, my $1,000 dresser, and damaged my new apartment on the move in. Very lazy people. Pros: I get to buy all new stuff Cons: They broke/damanged a lot of things more
