Our drivers were amazing. Arrived on time, friendly, made us feel instantly comfortable inviting them into our home, courteous, careful, treated our furniture with care & very thorough reviewing paperwork while explaining charges. I had a similar positive experience 6 years ago while moving in Alameda. In the years since, I've told many people about SS & will defintely be calling the next time we move. more

BEST experiences 5/12/2011

I have always used Starving Students to move over the past 15 years and I have always had the BEST experiences. I have had a very complicated moving situation lately, and have used Starving Students 3 times in the past month and a half. They have done an incredible job. Can't say enough wonderful things about them, their professionalism and your company. We have had an incredible experience with storing and moving my stuff into a pod. Seriously, keep up the great work! more

The company stated they would contact me a day before the move and they did so. They did call and let me know they were running a little late and showed up when the dispatcher indicated they would. The guys worked in a timely manner and handled the furniture with care and treated both my mom and I with respect. As stated I would recommend your company to others. more

very easy and effortless 5/3/2011

The three guys that showed up for my move were very professional and polite. As soon as they arrived they got to work and completed my move quickly. I only moved a storage unit with things already boxed, but they made the whole process seem very easy and effortless. The move was so quick and efficient, I got to enjoy the rest of my day without having to finish up, clean up, or reorganize anything. more

There were two men that helped move our furniture. WITHOUT A DOUBT, THE BEST TWO MEN IN THE WORLD!!!!! They were friendly, courteous, careful with the furniture and very efficient. If I move again, I will be requesting them!!! more

I called several places before calling starving students. I was told that they don't have equipment to help with the move or that they just weren't interested. When I contacted starving students, I was greeted with a very friendly & helpful representative. My move was taken care of the very next day! When the two gentlemen came to my door, they were very professional. It was clear that they had their job cut out for them. This was not going to be easy. They were persistent & calm. They took their time to think things through. Very methodical. They were so careful and moved in increments of inches to get my armoire up the winding stairwell. They were amazing to me. Very strong, & very smart, and very conscientious of their surroundings. The whole thing was a great experience and I would recommend them to anyone! Thank you soooo much for helping me out and with such care! more

worked quickly 4/26/2011

Two fellows showed up promptly at 8:45 AM. Both were polite and professional and worked quickly and efficiently to get our stuff moved carefully. But better than that, it was Thursday when my husband and I decided we were not going to move our stuff ourselves on Saturday. I didn't think anyone would be able to take us. I asked friends for recommendations. I got three for Starving Students, nothing else. That made it easy. I called and was able to set something up for 2 days later. If I ever have to move again (*fingers crossed that doesn't happen*), Starving Students will be my only choice. more

The movers were good 4/25/2011

The movers were good. Things went well other than a three inch by three inch hole in the dry wall that happened while they were moving the couch out. Not a huge deal. I did find that filing a claim was not very easy, in fact the claims lady I left a message with has still not called me back. more

money well spent 4/22/2011

The movers were friendly and efficient, and moved a one bedroom apartment full of furniture in 2.5 hours. I packed all of the boxes, so the time was just for actual moving. I handled the lighter boxes myself and used Starving Students to move the extra heavy stuff and big furniture. All items arrived in the new house without any damage or breakage.The total price was a little lower since I moved on a Sunday, as suggested by the phone operator when I called to make the reservation. Overall, it was a good experience for my small move. I wouldn't hesitate to use Starving Students again, it was money well spent. more

Both gentlemen were very friendly and professional. All of my items were treated with the utmost of care and concern. I really can't say enough good things. They are extremely hard workers. We moved across town and everything was a HUGE success. I would recommend them to all of my friends and co-workers. The one item that stood out to me and my family the most is both movers had a wonderful attitude. Moving is never an easy thing, but with MY movers we laughed and had a great time. They were the best. more
