If you want an espresso drink made the right way then check this place out. The food and desserts are also wonderful. The only cafe in Rochester where the staff doesn't have the typical "I'm cool because I'm making a latte" attitude. They provide excellent customer service which is rare these days, I've had them remake a drink and the barista did it with a smile. more

Whenever I visit my sister in Rochester, we always stop by Starry Nites. They have wide selection of delicious coffees, teas and other specialty drinks, as well as a great menu if you're in the mood for a light meal. The Chai Tea latte is one of the best I've had anywhere - not too sweet, not too spicy. I'm going back later today for their fall special of "pumpkin spice" coffee. The staff is friendly and helpful - both to newcomers as well as their regulars. They know people by name which is so rare these days! The seating is comfortable and spacious - you won't feel like you're sitting in the lap of the patron next to you. This is a nice, unique coffee shop in the Art Gallery area. The atmosphere is cozy and artsy with a Van Goh mural on the back wall. They occasionally have live music and readings too. In the summer there is additional outdoor seating. The prices in the typical coffee shop range. In addition to all of the usual coffee, espresso, cappucino etc teas, sodas and smoothies they also offer a menu of sandwiches, soups, wraps and desserts.
