If you're looking for your general, viennese-style caffeine experience, this Starbucks works better than most, with the emphasis on ""works"". The boss there apparently cracks the whip as the guys and gals behind the counter are all about business. They seldom botch an order, never dawdle over trifles, spend zero time with behind-the-counter shenanigans, and expect little in return but another customer. It's a busy place.
What I particularly like is that it has a couple of little-used hidey-holes in the corner if you want to read or log on and savor your buzz before subjecting yourself to the daily grind. Also a nice outdoor patio if the smokers don't stink it up.
For ambience they have an espresso machine that sounds like an irate mule and it brays so often the help doesn't even hear it any more. Gives me a little euro-rural feel if I close my eyes...nice, hard-working Americans here. Other chains could take some work-ethic lessons here.
Pros: gets the job done
Cons: Lousy scones, parking can be a hassle on busy days
