The social workers are great! However, the nurses at the station ignore you when you walk up to them for simple questions (like where is the refrigerator to put the Ensure?, or can I have a straw since my father can't manage the beverage from the container?). The nurses whom you speak to on the phone are also great. \r
The place is not cleaned regularly. The podiatrist came in to clip my father's toenails (after a week), butchered them, and there were still blood(paw)prints in the bathroom after at least four days! The social worker did explain the very first day that they were understaffed (in so many words) and that if you use the call button, don't be surprised if no one comes for awhile... Not real pleased with this placement. I have lived in SJ since 1970, just a few blocks away from this facility, went to MRHS, so I am very disappointed to say the least. Lots of room for improvement, as far as I am concerned.
