Star One Credit Union

My husband and I have been doing business with Star One Sunnyvale for many years we have financed cars taken out personal loans opened up IRA's have a Savings account and a Visa. We have paid off our autos on time always make payments on time then last December during the holidays we sent are payment before leaving town for the holidays when we got back home there is a letter from them stating that our line of credit has been closed due to non payment of this account I immediately checked by bank account and sure enough the check had not been cashed nor had it come by to us. So I immediately went to Star One and explained to the manager what had happened and paid any balance do. I expressed to her that I felt these were pretty extream measures for one late payment she said I would have to write a letter to the loan review board and explain the situation to them so that is what I did. I never received a reply so I contacted the manager by email and let her know this a couple weeks later I receive a phone call from a rude woman who in in charge of the loan departments in Sunnyvale. she starts explaining to me over and over that my line of credit was closed because of the late payment and that she could send me an application to reapply if I want her to but there is nothing she can do for me. Oh Yes! and on top of everything else they reported this to the credit reporting agency and ruined my perfect credit!!! I CAN'T WAIT TO PAY OFF EVERYTHING WE OWE THEM ASAP CLOSE ALL MY ACCOUNTS AND BE DONE WITH THEM. THEY HAVE NO LOYALTY OR APPRECIATION FOR THERE COSTUMERS WHAT SO EVER YOUR JUST A NUMBER AND IF THE NUMBERS FAIL TO LINE UP REGARDLESS OF THE REASON THEY TREAT YOU AS SUCH. I have been a customer of Star one for over 20 years. They have the best rates for house, and car loans, and the fees are minimum for other banking services. They are easy to work with and it is also easy to maintain your account on-line or through the mail. They also have added many locations in recent years. more

I absolutely love this credit union. Was referred by my sister-in-law who works right next door at Lockheed Martin. Back then you needed a referral from Santa Clara companies to join this credit union, now it's basically open to all. The service has always been stellar and the interest is one of the highest I've seen. Previously at 4%. Great for savings! more
