Being from Boston where there are tons of good indian restaurants, this place is the gem of indian food for the valley. The owner Preet is almost always there and welcomes you to his pride and joy.
The food is very good and has some unique dishes that we've never seen before; keema naan and chicken naan, both of which are delicious with tamarind chutney. The kabaab was a little dry, but still had a good flavor and was served with a pile of onions, green peppers, and lemons. Aloo Mutter is different than the east coast style of using a tomato sauce base, as there's is yogurt based. Still very good, just different.
Anyway, go and check out Star of India and support your local small business and you'll soon feel as if you've become part of an extended family.
Pros: friendliness, price, freshly prepared!
