The spot be in South Florida 1/21/2003

I used to live in South Florida for 5 years and have the tranformations of this Ft. Lauderdale staple. From the days of the Edge to the Chilly Pepper. Finally Ft Liquordale has the South Beach feel without attitude and price. Star Bar has the only outdoor party scene in the Lauderdale area(think Niki's in South Beach). Cabanas with bottle service, garden like zen with a waterfall and a sexy staff will have people from all over hitting up this new spot for years to come. Now with the opening of the inside(Venu) with the capability of housing big name acts and other shows. Star Bar/Venu will be the hottest new place to be scene in 2003. See you there. What up Dogg, JJ, D, Beard. Pros: Outdoor party, Great Crowd/Music, Prices on point more

Outdoor Party 11/25/2002

I had a whole crew in from N.Y. and we were looking for a place to go on Saturday night. I found a flier that said something about an outdoor party @ Star Bar in Ft. Lauderdale. We checked it out and the party was hot! The DJ was definately slammin, playing a little of everything and the hostesses were off the chart! Highly recommended for a good time. J Dogg Pros: Hot Women, Good Music, Great Service more

Editorial
  • In Short
What was once South Florida's premier venue for serious live rock and alternative music has added a significant amount of hip-hop and funk music to its playlist. Friday night is mostly hip-hop with a dash of good ol' house music thrown in if you listen carefully. But for those who remember the Chili Pepper from its early days as a gritty rock establishment, and then later as an indie music venue in Fort Lauderdale, this Pepper has lost much of its bite.
