Alright. So this is my neighborhood Staples whom I (used to) rely on often for supplies, copying services, office equipment and the like. One thing that I LOVED about Staples when I was first introduced to the stores is that they PRIDE themselves on things being ""easy"", and great customer service. That is rare in most companies today. Initially, the store had excellent customer service; I was able to walk in and receive help with whatever services I needed done. If I need a few copies printed from a flash drive, it was done instantly. If I needed help in choosing a telephone, toner cartridges, etc. I was able to receive great customer service. Within the past year and a half, the customer service has significantly deteriorated. They are rude, unprofessional; you used to be able to walk in and at least be greeted with a hello and a smile. The Customer Service people there barely look at you now, let alone greet you, when you walk in the door. The Copying Services Department is now ridiculous. You can no longer 'easily' get things printed, without being told that there is a one or hour two wait for simple 1-2 page documents being printed. There is always an 'excuse' for reasons why simple things that should be done, can't be done and they never take accountability for any customer service issues that you may have. I have to say that I still love Staples so I'm not excluding the stores all together, but I will not patronize this location again. For all of my copying and other services, I will most likely head to FedEx/Kinko's in Hyde Park where they are most helpful or the other location on 87th Dan Ryan.
