Stable Pit & Pub Restaurant

According to a newspaper article in today's Meadville Tribune, Wanda Ramaley's Stable Pit and Pub has closed effective today and will be auctioned. The article states she did not pay her liquor sales tax and couldn't afford her liability insurance. more

Stable Pit and Pub is under the second ownership of the business and has not done well with it since she has had it. She has done no facility upgrades and there has been newspaper articles regarding the lack of handicapped accessible facilities and the owner complaining that she can't afford to repair the plumbing in the building let alone make the restrooms accessible. I've given up on going to Stable Pit and Pub since she has taken ownership. The food is mediocre, at best. On more than one occasion is was poor. On almost every visit the service was very poor. She did not keep up the quality level on any front as compared with the original owner. It is obvious that over her several years of ownership she has progressively shifted to cheaper, packaged food. When last I attempted to stop there she had reduced the serving days to three a week. I would not recommend Stable Pit and Pub to anyone. more

This is a really cool place to go. They have great steaks and shrimp. They used to hold dance contests years ago. It is western themed and just different. It is very hard to explain but I promise if you like western themed places this is a place you must stop at. Take your time and have a leisurely dinner. You will not be sorry. more
