St-Germain Bakery

I've noticed there is a big difference in local cakes versus mainland cakes. Liliha is the best at the local cakes. Their cakes are very moist and light with really light frosting. My personal favorite is the guava rainbow cake. It tastes just amazing. I really like that one. However, personally I am actually more of mainland caker and enjoy my cakes very rich and very heavy frosting. However, I would highly reccomend this place for people who like really moist and really light cakes. more

Dee Lite has some of the best cakes in the country. Can't say world since I haven't tried them all! But I would always request the peach chiffon for my birthday. For others' birthdays I would bring them the rainbow cake which is a mix of passion fruit, guava and i think lime and also the haupia cake. Their cakes are not too sweet and very light and fluffy. I probably could eat the whole cake myself. The only thing that is hard is the cake is so big (tall) and it has to be refrigerated so sometimes you need serious cleaning out of your fridge to fit it in there. This is one bakery that I can truly be considered a glutton. Their other baked goods are very good too but in comparison with the cake I can't think of anything else besides the cake. more
