I am not a christian, but I love this church 1/8/2010

Let me just make this clear: I am not a christian. However, my fiance's family are longlonglong-time members of this church, so I went to services the first time out of respect for his beliefs. Now I find myself going there for services by myself while my fiance's at work, or saying to him ""hey, let's go to church tomorrow"" on a saturday evening. The congregation is not very large, but it is very friendly, the people are sincere, and the biggest & best reason to go is Reverend Scott. His sermons are full of the important things in life, love and good works and taking care of each other. He delivers his sermons in a conversational way, and I find that I listen to him and care about what he's saying. He is why we make the 45 minute drive up from Virginia Beach. Pros: The rector Cons: The building's cold & drafty more

Warm Welcom 1/24/2009

St Stephens is a church that makes you feel warm and welcome from the moment you walk in the door. The members greet you and invite you back the Pastor welcomes you and remembers your name. We went to visit with the intention of visiting several churches before deciding on where to stay and have not bothered going elsewhere, there was no need. They have wonderful fellowship, great sermons/homilies and really know how to make someone feel welcome. Pros: central location, two services, adult and childrens christian formations more
