I am a graduate of St. Mark's Lutheran School, having attended from age 4 through 8th grade. The education I received at St. Mark's was absolutely outstanding, the faculty competent and caring, and the curriculum challenging and Christ-centered. St. Mark?s educates the whole person: mind, body, and spirit. From core subjects like reading, science, and mathematics to the oft-neglected fields of music, literature, art, and religion, St. Mark?s enabled me to excel far beyond the standards set for children my age. I vividly remember learning about the cultures of England, Mexico, Japan, and the Native Americans all the way back in Mrs. Lee?s kindergarten class, as well as our in-depth study of Shakespeare?s ?Macbeth? in Mr. Kiesel?s eighth grade literature class. Mere months after I graduated from St. Mark?s and entered into ninth grade, standardized testing put me at a post-high school reading level. I have since gone on to graduate magna cum laude from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Materials Science and Engineering and am now in the top 10% of my graduate school class. I have and always will accredit my academic success to the discipline, life skills, and positive attitude instilled in me from the very first day I set foot in St. Mark?s Lutheran School.
