Fun, but check their opening hours. 4/14/2006

The St Louis Science Center is a great place to visit, and admission and parking is free! There are tons of things to see and displays to interact with, as well as lot of seating for tired-out parents! Occasionally, the dome will dress up for the holidays, so keep an eye open when you pass it 64-40. One warning though, their opening hours change, depending on the season or break, so it would be a good idea to check or call ahead to be sure. more

A little crazy for the grownups 3/21/2006

My husband and I visited together, to see the Titanic exhibit. We also saw an Omnimax film. I can tell this is a fun place for the kids, although it was a little crowded and busy for two grownups. I guess that proves how successful it is--although it could be laid out a little better for traffic control, and I've been to science musems that had better exhibits. The air and space portion is interesting and well designed. We also enjoyed the film... Omnimax is a unique experience. Parking was a bit expensive for my taste. more

Great museum in Forest Park 9/2/2005

This is a great science center, which is a wonderful place to take the kids for an afternoon of some fun. They have a fairly new planetarium here, and always have some show going on as well. They also have the famous IMAX which shows different features every few months (but don't do IMAX if you get motion sickness!). Parking if I remember correctly will cost you a few bucks but the general admission to the science center is free. Definitely take your family here. It's worth going to at least once, if not more. more

A great place to take the kids! 8/29/2005

The Science Center is another great attraction in St. Louis. Admission is free but if you want to park close, you will have to pay. The Science Center has several levels full of great attractions. My daughter loves to go there to see the dinosaurs on display and there are many exhibits where you can actually do an activity. They also have an Omnimax theater (not free) that is a great experience. I have seen several movies there and its very life-like. more

One of the nicer places to take youngsters in StL 8/17/2005

The great thing about St Louis is that many of the attractions here are free to the public. The St Louis Science Center boasts a planetarium, IMAX theater, as well as plenty of science exhibits and interactive displays. My only complaint is that there is not quite enough to keep adults occupied for a long time. Otherwise, walk across the skywalk over highway 40 and clock the cars below with the radar guns along the sides of the walkway. more
