St Louis Pet Clinic

We took our dog here when I first adopted because the rescue used this vet. It was not a good experience. He did nothing but try to push purina dog food on us (we use blue buffalo), would not answer any of my questions about diet and nutrition, and spoke the entire time to my husband, rather than answering my questions directly (women will recognize this type). The exam itself was quick and rushed. He asked me five times if our dog is spayed, in spite of having the paperwork in front of him. Our dog comes from a trauma situation and he was very rough in handling her, making sudden gestures around her face and head. Our dog's problem was not properly diagnosed or explained and we had to take her elsewhere. The facilities were less than spectacular. I will say that, aside from the vet, the staff was very nice. I understand that this vet is cheap and that is a draw for myself and many other people, but I wouldn't take an animal I hated to this clinic, much less a beloved family pet. more

I love this pet clinic, My cat goes on long trips with us to North Carolina and while traveling she feels the need to meow the whole 13 hour trip. I stopped by one day and told the Dr. my situation and he give me some meds to help keep her calm @ no charge. Also they board her for me ocassionally and leaving her behind is like leaving my child, but she is always happy and healthy when I pick her up. Even though she has bad attitude towards other animals, they still always work it out so she doesnt have to spend the whole time caged up. Very pleased with the service I recieve when I go there. Keep up the good work. more

This clinic is really easy to get to, right near Grand Ave. and I-44. The parking lot is spacious and convenient. I have been in some clinics that seem crammed in the waiting room so all the pets AND the owners are anxious and upset, but here there is plenty of space. The Doc and his staff are very professional and very caring. Not long ago, I found a young dog who had been abandoned on the street and decided to keep her. Thanks to the helpful workers at the clinic, she is now spayed and growing stronger each day as she recovers from malnourishment and mistreatment. We are lucky to have such a Dr. and staff available in the St. Louis area. I understand they do a LOT of work with stray populations and animal shelters--THANK YOU! more

Moved to the area 3 months ago. We took a puppy of ours to this vet/clinic and were treated with such disrespect when picking up our little one! I can just imagine the treatment our puppy experienced ""behind"" closed doors. A neighbor of ours went to a $10 vaccine event that this clinic participated in and said the same thing...there was a lady there from this place who was anything but nice or professional. We will not return and are seeking out an alternate facility. If possible I'd give them zero stars! more
