Have really good food but expensive. I was there last week and got one of their ""new"" sandwiches with water - bill was $6.xx and there was very little chicken on the sandwich. ...

YOu cant find a place to have better food at a great price with great service. Pretty place too! You can actually eat here healthily! more

starcrunch 12/1/2002

My family tried the sourdough soup bowl the day after Thanksgiving and they were great the bowls were the talk of the day. Fabulous, Great, they even ask where did I get them from and the name St Louis Bread rang all over the place. Thank You for making my gathering a success. On this note I will try some other breads at more of my gathering. Pros: cost, variety, great service Cons: not enough parking, more time to observe more

Chain Store 11/11/2002

Pretty reliable quality and they're on every corner just about. Coffee is better than average but someone needs to teach the average employee how to make a latte. If you don't drink it you shouldn't be allowed to make it. Depending on where you are there's better places to go.....try Our Daily Bread on Manchester in Des Peres.... more

Bread Co ain't the cheapest! 10/28/2002

I have to admit that Bread Co. is a favorite, but good grief...who decided that it was a cheap place to go?! I can think fo plenty other places that have the cheaper food with the same good quality and a better sit-down, non-self-serve atmosphere. more

Cheap, ha! 10/28/2002

I think the Bread Co has gotten more expensive over the years. The you pick two has gone up and up! more

Bread Co is tops! 10/27/2002

st. louis bread co is a great restaurant. their sandwiches are really good, and their soups are excellent. their bakery makes really good cream cheese covered brownies--try them! outside of saint louis, its panera bread co, so if you have one check it out! more

Overcrowed & Over-rated 10/6/2002

This is a bakery; not a restaurant for breakfast. If you want a bagel or pastry, it's a good choice. But if you want a real breakfast, do not choose this bakery. However, it is great for sandwiches and soups. Pros: Lunch Cons: Crowded more

RiseOn 10/3/2002

Overall, the Bread Co. has a lot to offer--depending on location. The one is St. Louis Hills seems to hire people with attitude problems, in addition to allowing flies in by the truckload. Well, if one is lucky enough to have a mostly fly-free environment, and survive the help the food tends to be great (if your order is processed correctly). Soups are always great and a wonderful treat on chilly days. Hot chocolate is superb. Sandwiches, when made the way ordered are great. Pros: Great Food, UMMM Hot Chocolate, Close to home Cons: Service, Flies, Not open late enough more

Good Sandwich Shop 10/3/2002

The 'Bread Co' is just that, a great place that serves up all sorts of breads and ready made sandwiches. The only downside is that the moment Panera took over - we could immediately tell the difference from the 1st well established Bread Company. The quality of the baked items and the generous portions of the sandwiches and soups was drastically cut back. However, the concept is still good. And they have added furniture to their stores to compete with Starbucks, but the Bread Co's coffee can't compare to Starbucks! If you want coffee that's where you should go. Pros: Quick, Good Selection more

Try the soup in a bread bowl! 10/3/2002

Their soup in a sourdough bread bowl is great. Their rolls and bagels are also delicious, as are their sandwiches. My favorite dish here is still the sourdough bread bowl of soup. Pros: excellent food, moderate price more

Kathy's Kredits 8/20/2002

I'm lovin' Cappucino in Winter, and IC Mocha in the Summer. The Greek Salad is great, But why is the bread so hard? more

great food and value 8/13/2002

st. louis bread company has award-winning bread at a good price. i would recommend the soup bowls. Pros: good food, good value, convenient Cons: crowded more

NOT a kids place! 8/13/2002

This is the kind of eating place where an adult would like to eat at. Kids and teenagers probably wouldn't like St. Louis Bread Company because they don't have the ""kids"" food like hamburgers and hotdogs. Fansy but plan sandwhiches and no salted, dry potatoe chips are the kinds of foods they serve. Cons: no kids food, slow service more

Delicious but Overprized 8/13/2002

The food and drink is delicious, but the prices are a bit steep. Also, the employees tend to be rude. Pros: good ambience, delicious food, good variety Cons: expensive, poor service, crowded more

healthy, fast, cheap 8/11/2002

my favorite place to get a quick lunch without feeling rushed. I also like that I'm getting ""real"" rather than processed foods--asiago roast beef and roasted red pepper corn chowder come to mind. anyway, just go. you won't be disappointed! more

I could eat there everyday! 8/11/2002

Love the bread, the sandwiches, everything. I can't walk by and smell that bread without stopping in! Pros: yummy sandwiches, great salads, delicious soups Cons: crowded (who cares!) more

Great variety 8/10/2002

A great variety of soups, sandwich, salads, and baked goods. This is a favorite lunch spot for my son and I. Very quick service, always fresh. Easy to have a quick and satisfying lunch and a quick something sweet and pick up some fresh bread for dinner. Great bagels too! Pros: Fast, Variety, Fresh Cons: No Drive-Thru more

great place 8/7/2002

love saint louis bread in rolla mo..nicest store in town Pros: fast, delicious, quality place Cons: crowded, noisy, parking availability more

I wish I would've thought of this. 8/7/2002

This is the nicest, cleanest cafe. The food is excellent. They could use more seating for the lunch crowds, but the food is worth it. Where else can you get excellent, tasty soups all year long? Their sandwhiches are huge and their prices are reasonable. We go here for quick dinners out, too. Less crowded at night, unbelieveably. I wish I would've thought up this business. The owners deserve to be rich. Pros: Food, Price, Locations Cons: Parking, Crowds more

Morning Sanity 7/26/2002

Great Mocca, great rolls, pastries with that cup of whatever. Start my day off right, gets my sanity and lets me go to work ready to go hard!!! more
