My brother is in the ICU Trauma Unit at St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa, Florida. He is in a coma, but each day, from our phone call feedback, he is doing better than the day before. I feel that the hospital staff is doing an excellent job of taking care of their patients, and I believe that my brother will come out of his coma due to the care that is being provided to him.\r

My question here today is, why don't they have a column on their internet site where people who are concerned about a family member or friend, can find out, on a daily basis, feedback messages about a comatose patient, or any other patient that has been a client of the hospital for a substantial amount of stay time. I know that with all the workload the nurses and staff have, it can be a burden sometimes to have several members calling during the day, while the staff is trying to physically work on their patients. This is just something that I would like to throw their way, and it would be a lot of help to us, the family, while we are living out of state. Thank you.
Pros: Understanding of daily calls from family members
Cons: Not always available for telephone feedback - Trauma Unit
