St. John Catholic School teaches students from kindergarten through 12th grade. The elementary school consists of K-6. The junior high is 7-8, and the high school is 9-12. All three facilities are located on the same property, but the elementary building is separated from the other 2 buildings. Students are required to attend church 2-3 times per week as part of the daily schedule. Religion is a component of class. I have not attended the school in 12 years. The last I knew, there were even a few nuns left that still taught at the school. Children go to music and keyboarding class. The classes are small and dwindle as the years pass. When I started, there were 60 children in my kindergarten class. The year I graduated high school, St. John graduated 9 students. I do feel that students get a quality education here, but lots of politics and pettiness exist. The playground for the children is more than adequate, as is the cafetorium.
