St Charles Animal Hospital

When I found an emaciated kitten stuck in a drain pipe (the littermates had died in there), I drove around looking for a veterinarian that could take a walk-in. Most veterinarians I telephoned from my car were too busy to see the poor kitten, who was slowly fading in the backseat. I happened upon St. Charles Animal Hospital, and the staff was very courteous and I saw the doctor within 10 minutes of arriving, with no appointment. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. He and the St. Charles Animal Hospital staff went over proper care of the kitten with me, and they even sent me home with a few days' supply of kitten food at no charge. My family and I have been going here for over 25 years. They are so good to our animals and love all over them and really seem to care about them. They are relatively inexpensive and give you all costs upfront so that there are no surprises. When we put our family dog to sleep December 1, 2003 they made sure that no customers were in the building during the process so we would have upmost privacy during this difficult time. They also sent a bereavement card with special notes from everyone who worked there. It made us feel very cared for and loved. more
