We ended up at St. Anthony's for Easter after my wife walked in to visit on Good Friday. She works in the financial district and goes to the morning masses sometimes. But on Friday she went to a mass with the music there. And she came home that day still moved by it. So we packed up the kids on Sunday morning and drove in from Marshfield to go to mass there. And here I am on a Tuesday night, signing up for a City Search account so I can post a review for it.
When my wife told me about Friday, she said there was something special about the music and the mass. The priest was ""normal"" and talked like a ""real"" peson. The music was done really well and it seemed like they really meant it.
Sunday was amazing. The church was packed. They didn't skip andything, but the mass was over within 50 minutes. And the music was amazing. We go to a Life Teen mass once in awhile with our kids, and there's a band. But this was something else.
I think we may be back next weekend. My wife told everyone at our family dinner, and I'm pretty sure a few of them are going to show up too.
If you're looking for a church with something more than a regular mass do yourself a favor and check out this place.
