I've been taking my bikes to Sportbike Hawaii since I started riding 5 years ago. I called to ask if he would service a 14 year old FZR600 that I was thinking of buying. He spent a good 5 minutes on the phone telling me what to look for when I go to check out the bike. Keep in mind I hadn't even met this guy yet and he was giving me free advice. After I bought the bike I took it there for service and he did the works to it. Carb cleaning, replaced fork seals, oil change, adjusted the chain all for almost half of what I was quoted everywhere else. His hourly rate is much less than the dealerships, but expect to wait a little longer for your bike because he is the only one working there.
Pros: knows his stuff, willing to share his knowledge, cheaper than everywhere else, only one person touching your bike
Cons: repairs may take a while if he has lots of jobs lined up, no high-tech electrical diagnosis equipment
