We came across this place at random while strolling through Federal Hill. Next time we're in Baltimore, though, we'll make a bee line for it. Our party of five had a variety of soups, salads, and quiches for lunch. It was all made carefully to order, tastefully and tastily prepared, and served with just enough of an attitude to remind us were were in the Big City, not someone's living room (which the sofas and bright colors on the walls might lead you to believe). The butternut squash and apple soup was the very taste of autumn, while my companion's jambalaya had the real smokey bite of ol' N'awlins. (Unfortunately, though, the soups were a little tepid by thee time they reached us.) And for $7.95, the ""combo"" deal allowing you to choose two from among soup, salad, sandwich, wrap, or quiche was the right price and the right amount of food to satisfy without making us feel were were destined to join the ranks of the obese. All in all, one of the nicest lunch spots I've ever come across.
Pros: Good food/good price; funky decor; laid-back atmosphere (next time I want to snag an easty chair)
Cons: Soups came out a little cool; parking's a challenge on Federal Hill
