We drove out from Minneapolis. The grounds are pretty and the horses are beautiful. However, the bakery is expensive. My boys did enjoy the apple doughnuts. We intended to pick apples and waited in line for at least 20 minutes. There were 2 other family groups ahead of us and a pre-school group behind us. The wagon finally pulled up and much to our disappointment-they wouldn't let us on the wagon unless we were with the school group. They even made the group in front of us (parents, grand-parents, kids) get off. After already waiting, we didn't want to wait anymore. Neither did the other family who had been waiting before we were. There was no other wagon in sight. Very disappointed, especially my 2 boys-7 and 9 years old. Well, we thought-we'll go to the petting zoo-no luck-not open until 1. When I asked inside, the staff member said there were so many groups booked, they were short on staff and only had one wagon going. With all the other apple orchards in town, I will definitely not be returning to this one. Very poor customer service. Nothing like being penalized for not being part of a large group!
Pros: horses
Cons: lack of transportation to orchard to pick apples, price
