Michael Kenner Certified NRA Firearms instructor. My background: Born and raised in Vallejo, Ca. I’ve been a marksman ever since I was 8 years old. My father took me to the range for the first time, and taught me how to properly operate a firearm. Surprisingly, I didn’t really gain a passion for marksmanship until later on in life when I made a drastic life change and joined the U.S. Coast Guard. I joined them in 2010 as a Maritime Law Enforcement Specialist. Already having an extended background in Law enforcement, my Dad is a retired Police officer, God Father is a Retired Police Sargent, it was an easy match for me. I was fortunate to be sent to the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center where I received an extensive training in law enforcement tactics and strategies. Having learned Tactical maneuvers, self-defense, and an extremely in depth course of firearms training, I grew to love marksmanship for the skill that has been imparted to me. I have also worked as a Federal Security Officer for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, and have years of experience in that capacity. When I brought everything that I learned home and applied it on the range, that’s when my family noticed my talent as a marksman. From then on, I became a Firearms instructor, started training many people with all different backgrounds and haven’t looked back.
