A week or so ago my wife took one of our cars to Splish Splash Car Wash in Leesburg, FL. Today, 2/23/20011 I decided to take our pickup there to be washed and when I told her about this she said.\r
\r
""Are you sure about that?""\r
\r
When I querried her about her response she said that they did not do a very good job last time.\r
\r
I told her it must have been a bad day or something and we turned into the car wash and purchased the Deluxe Wash, a full service wash with dash cleaning, wheel brite, tire dressing etc.--in other words their best wash. When I got out to the pickup I noticed it had barely been dried so I asked one of the attendents about that and he made a few cursury swipes with a rag and walked off. My wife and I got in and as I pulled out I noticed that the mirrors had not been cleaned, the dash was streaked and barely wiped and the windshield was still dirty, so I turned around and pointed this out to the the guys and they shrugged their shoulders and walked back inside and one of them exclaimed, ""We don't do windows.""\r
\r
I went inside and asked if a manager was there and the plump little girl behind the counter with a goth appearance, piercings and the like said, "" Well I'm here.""\r
\r
I told her about the situation and she just stood there with a blank look on her face, unwilling to attempt a remedy.\r
\r
I left and pulled into the Walgreens down the street to do some shopping and when we got back into the pickup my wife found the radio antennae under the seat; it had apparently been removed while at the wash because I had never removed it for any purpose and I knew it was there when I took it into Splish Splash Car Wash. When I was screwing it back on I noticed it had been removed with a pair of pliers and there were deep gouges in the base of the antennae and the paint was scrapped off. Our pickup is almost new so I know it wasn't done before.\r
\r
I certainly wish I could get the $5 I put in the tip box back.\r
\r
We have two cars and a pickup and used to take all three vehicles to Splish Splash about once every two weeks. Needless to say, today was the last they will see any of our vehicles.\r

Use Splish Splash Car Wash in Leesburg, FL at your own peril.
